Bushwick Open Studios is an arts and culture festival hosted by the volunteer-run organization Arts in Bushwick. Once a year, hundreds of artists are brought together for a weekend-long extravaganza including open studio art galleries, dozens of performances, pop-up exhibitions, and all manner of special events spanning from East Williamsburg and Bed-Stuy to Maspeth and Ridgewood.
Having personally attended BOS for many years, I decided it would be an amazing opportunity to volunteer Beyond's space as one of the open studios for the weekend. It was Beyond's first year in the neighborhood and my goal was to optimize our involvement in the arts and culture community.
I was able to negotiate Beyond as the exclusive host space for the official opening group show known as Seeking Space. From there, I acted as the main point-of-contact between Beyond and Arts in Bushwick, helping with production logistics leading up to, during, and after the event.
The results were phenomenal. We successfully installed and displayed over 200 artists' work of all varying mediums. Hundreds and hundreds of people showed their support through out the night with lines wrapped around the corner to get in.
Executive Event Producer & Creative Director.
As the sole producer of Beyond Studio's first annual Holiday Party, I single-handedly spearheaded every detail of the event production and creative direction.
I chose to go with an 80's-themed Winter Wonderland and customized the party accordingly.
I handled the entire budget, curated the guest list, designed and distributed the invitations, booked the entertainment (DJ, security, bartender, etc), sourced and purchased all decorations, designed the full space, arranged the social promotion and press, organized the liquor and beer sponsors, and attended to all the guests during the party to ensure that everyone had a good time.
It was a huge success, with hundreds of guests attending throughout the night.
Co-Producer / Creative Director / Set Designer.
In April 2017, Beyond Studios opened a new location in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
To celebrate our expansion from Washington, D.C., we produced an interactive launch party featuring the works of rising fashion designer, Mia Vesper.
During the party, guests were able to experience a behind-the-scenes POV of an editorial photoshoot with Mia's designs, photographed by Sarah Charlie Benjamin, while also enjoying and immersing themselves in Beyond Studios' new space.

44 years to the day, we had the honor of celebrating and hosting Diggin’ Thru the Crates’ debut New York event at Beyond Studios. As attendees were treated to by-request sets by Bronx-bred legend, Lord Finesse, Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg and resident DJ Alizay, they also had the opportunity to browse through vintage vinyl and magazines.

Over this past summer, Beyond Studios' hosted an immersive art party showcasing work from Nima Veiseh's collection that was featured at this year's Art Basel. This was a collaboration between Beyond Studios and Dress Abstract.
Nima Veiseh's painting explores the dynamic nature of memory and its reflection of the human condition. His process is enabled by Hyperthymesia, an extremely rare condition of having highly superior memory — an anomaly affecting 50 people worldwide, where he remembers every day of his life like film since the age of 15. His work renders natural moments of transition and connectivity into artistic expression, by exploring subjects as they journey through time. Hyperthymesia allows him to paint and see life in terms many layers. The dense overlays of paint involved in each piece, over 35 to over 100 hours of continuous process spanning months, are true to the additive, integrated and ever changing nature of memory, and his technique is referential to gesturalism and abstractionism.
As the event producer, I helped curate the guest list, send out the invitations, arrange the social promotion, book the entertainment, cater to the guests during the party, and manage the overall production before, during, and after the event.
